Why your bKash checkout loses buyers at the last step - and how to fix it

Local gateways behave differently from cards. The drop-off is usually in the redirect, not the price.

Most storefronts in Bangladesh do not lose the sale on the product page. They lose it in the four seconds after the buyer taps 'Pay with bKash', when the redirect leaves your site and the buyer is no longer sure anything is happening.

This is a placeholder article. The structure below is real; the words are not yet written.

The redirect is the drop-off point

A card payment completes in a modal. A mobile-wallet payment usually leaves your domain, and every hand-off is a place a buyer can abandon.

  • Show the amount and order id before the redirect, not after
  • Keep a pending-order record so a lost return trip is recoverable
  • Never clear the cart until the gateway confirms

Reconciling what the gateway tells you

Webhook and redirect can arrive in either order, and sometimes only one arrives. Treat the webhook as the source of truth and the redirect as a hint.
